Here we are. Still waiting for our court date. So, what are we doing to keep from going crazy? Steve is making sure that Natalie will have technology at her little fingertips: she has her own tv in the playroom off of the kitchen. I am washing her clothes in Dreft and every so often I just go in her room and open the drawer for a whiff. :) My friend, Randy, is helping me with a Life Book for Natalie. So, I've been gathering and passing along items of use to make her book special. I also read alot of blogs of other people who are on this journey. One family in particular is in the same region we will be heading back to for our daughter. They had a successful court date at the end of April and are now living out the required ten day wait in Russia till they get their little girl.
For the last couple of weeks there have been a few Russian holidays which closed the courts. Hopefully we will hear something soon. Waiting and walking in faith has gone to a whole new level for me during this process. I can't put it all into words right now, but I KNOW that God is in the waiting times of our lives, and that's what I'm holding on to.
Natalie turned 19 months on May 2nd. I pray that she is growing and happy. I know that God is holding her in His hand. Hopefully we will be with her or near her for her 20th month.
Love,
Karen

We are so excited! Jon and I are constantly talking about where you all are at whatever time and what is going on. We will be sure to be praying away for you tonight and into tomorrow that the court time will be smooth and the waiting period will be waived so you can get her the attention that she needs. I'll make sure Jon updates the softball team for Steve too!
